Media and Hypertext Theory

This section discusses those aspects of media and hypertext theory that apply to WEB publishing. An understanding of these theories will aid us in understanding the underlying concepts of the various WEB paradigms and, more importantly, the psychosocial implications of these paradigms.

This section will address key issues such as textuality, metatext, interactivity, convergent versus divergent paradigms, converging paradigms, repurposing the paradigms of the old medium, and the nature of the distinction between author and reader.
