Corporation Finance is a required introductory finance course for business majors at the University of Northern Iowa.
Course Goals and Objectives:
- Gain familiarity with the financial environment of business
and the various sources and uses of funding for the firm.
- To learn the basic concepts of the time value of money, and
how to value financial instruments.
- To understand and appreciate the concepts of risk and return
as it relates to individual and corporate decision making.
- To learn the basics of capital budgeting, cash budgeting and
how to evaluate business projects.
- To learn about the ethical issues facing business and an appreciation
of the framework for making ethical decisions.
- To understand the multinational and international financial
environment.
