How many times have you used the word disaster? -- "Hey, Jean, how'd the dinner at your boss' go?" "Oh, it was a disaster! -- The kids spilled red kool-aid on their white carpet!"

Teenager have a car wreck? Major inconvenience, as long as no one dies. Water in your basement? Nasty, but still just an inconvenience. Lost your job? Bad, yes, but...

What if your entire neighborhood went from this...
to this...
overnight?
What if every place you could have looked for another job looked like this...?
What if your family was uprooted, bounced to a living hell for a week or so, maybe separated to unknown destinations, and then ended up in a place where you are dependent on the kindness of strangers who don't even talk like you do, have different customs, maybe even have snow (!)?

Inconvenient? No, devastating.

Life changing? Maybe even life threatening.

Blessing? Possibly, if you can hang on long enough.

Opportunity? Maybe. -- But, for whom? -- Why not us?
