Life History: After high school, I attended BJC, UNI, got married, and graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education. I then taught preschool handicapped kids until we were transferred to the Chicago area. There I became a pioneer in Parent Infant Educating, setting up programs for parents with handicapped children from birth to three. In a few years, we became parents and I was a fulltime Mom! When Matt was 5 and Christina was 3, we moved to the San Diego area. My husband started a building company and I began the fulltime job of volunteering at the kids’ school - Room Mother – Team Mom – Chauffeur – etc. For several years I was on the Board at Childhelp USA, an organization for the prevention of child abuse. I also served on the Parent Board at our high school. This fall, Matthew will be a junior at UC Santa Barbara and Christina will be a freshman at UC Davis. Over the years we have built several homes for ourselves. I enjoy making the decorating selections as well as helping to do that for my husband’s company. We also get in quite a bit of traveling throughout the United States and in Europe with Monaco, the French Riviera, and Italy being our favorite places. I am sorry that I can’t be there in September – I will be enjoying Ireland, Monaco, and the French Riviera!
