2017 Update:
This year, Tom and I will have been married 50 years in November. In 2008, Tom retired after working
37 years for Citizens Utilities Company/Tuscon Electric Company. During his tenure in the utility
business, we lived in Kingman, Arizona, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Wallace, Idaho, and Trumbull,
Connecticut. I've had a variety of experiences in my life, which included many years in banking
and owning 3 different businesses. This is what happens, when you move around: We've lived in 24
different houses, we have 3 children, born in 3 different decades, who married spouses from three
different states. Our kids now, live in 3 different states, Washington, Arizona and North Carolina,
and between them, we have seven grandchildren, born in 3 different decades.
Tom and I now live in Phoenix during the spring and the fall, where we enjoy mountain hiking, golf, fishing and grandkids. We live in North Idaho during the summer and winter, where we enjoy snow skiing, kayaking, fishing and grandkids. We travel to North Carolina, every chance we get, to see our kids and grandkids there, too.
We make sure that every year, we spend time with the 100's of Ferrys in the Ferry Family and the Young Family, now living in Texas.
Tom is an amazing builder/painter/fixer and stays busy every minute of the day! I am a wannabe Accordion Queen.
2012 Update:
Tom and I, married in 1967, have three grown children. We currently have six grandchildren and one more
on the way, due July 7, 2012. Tom retired in 2007 after 35 years, as Vice President, from Unisource
Energy Services. I retired from my own business earlier that same year. In the spring and fall, we
reside in Phoenix, where we love spending time with our daughter, Julie, and her family, and also doing
a little mountain hiking in our spare time. The winters and summers are spent in Northern Idaho, where
we enjoy the summers on the North Fork of the Coeur d'alene River with our kids and grandkids, who come
each year. We spend our winters there, skiing and snowshoeing. Life is a gift, and we love living it!
2007 Update:
Children: Joe 33, Julie 24, Erin 20
Grandchildren: Mike 7, Hannah 4
Life History: Tom graduated from ISU and Sue graduated from Mohave Community College.
Tom has worked for his company the past 30 years. The family has been transferred
several times, living in Lake Havasu City, AZ, Wallace, Idaho, and Trumbull, CT, as
well as Kingman, AZ. Sue owns her own business. We’ve been married for 35 years,
still spend time each summer on our river property in north Idaho and love the desert,
too. We’re looking forward to being still young and retired.
