Life History: After one year at Boone Junior College, I moved to Minneapolis. Married in 1970 -
then spent the next 20 years as a stay-at-home mom and doing volunteer civic work and being
very active in church and Christian Women's Club. In 1990, when we moved to Ankeny the first
time, I worked at the YMCA in childcare for 4 years. We've moved several times from 1970 until
now; having lived in Atlantic, Denison, Fort Dodge, Ankeny, Sgt. Bluff/Sioux City, and Ankeny
again. For 3 years, while in Sgt. Bluff, I traveled with Lee when he was on business trips -
9 states around Iowa....interesting, but exhausting. Now, back in Ankeny again, I'm babysitting
our 18-month-old granddaughter and our 8-year-ld grandson during the summer. I still travel with
Lee occasionally and continue to keep my christian life as a priority.
