Update 2014:
OUR grandkids live in town & we see them everyday usually after school for a snack. They
go to Franklin 2nd grade. I visit my folks daily. We do church/ community, workouts @ Y ,claywork, reading & downloaded movies. We have a yoga group of long time students & a teacher, it makes what you do better. I moved into a deeper understanding of clay work to find more of my favorite fine points.
My mentor & friend in clay died in July causing alot of reflection on this.
Update 2007:
June 2007- Memorial park has a nice new shelter house/ ticket booth/rr. It was started
last fall & took until may to finish so it came out with more attention to details than
it might have otherwise. The 'dors took a while to get warmed up this spring, having
lost a lot of seniors last year, but are starting to win some now. We live at 1827 Boone
(off the southeast corner of Memorial, with the river stone topped wall out front) so we
get a front seat on park doings. We walk many miles around the park as our 'track'.
Our daughter & family live by Lowell school so we are fortunate to see our 2 grandkids everyday.
My wife Pam, still works for the Boone schools, now as principal of Bryant & Page.
I retired from Ia state in Dec & am back to working clay full time .........unless my
daughter wants me to take the grandkids shopping or to a park to swing.
