Update 2022:

After a hiatus of 20+ years, I now have a real studio space near Harriet Island, St Paul. All the art paraphernalia from my 600 SQ foot condo has been transported and I have a home back. I exhibit in museums and juried art competitions and a friend and I have a traveling exhibition called Femme and Fauna. My siblings are well and happy. My children are well and happy. Greetings to all of you..the best class ever of BHS.

Update 2017:

I live in downtown St Paul MN in a condo on the 28th floor. I love it. Small. Very small. This also serves as my art studio. joannhendricks.com. I mainly do drawings now and direct art events. I also work full time in finance in Minneapolis. I have degrees from University of Iowa, Iowa State, and finally a Masters from the University of Minnesota in Art Management. My siblings are all alive and well: JR in Ames, John and Shari in Belton TX, Marilou (Toot) and Mark in Minneapolis), and Jinx and Mike in Marshalltown. My own children and grandchildren are fine but work too hard: Dana (VP for Ameriprise and a tri-athlete) and Jason, granddaughter Grace (off to college next year), and Ava (freshman and running for a class office) are in NC. Son Chip (Daniel) is Fitness Mgr at Rackspace plus runs his own moving company in San Antonio TX. I am jealous of those '67 classmates who were smarter than me and arranged to retire. I plan to join you in 5 years.

I have a book--Nicks' Boat-- about Nick Seamonds and his family that is available on Amazon.
See: https://www.amazon.com/Nicks-Boat-Jo-Ann-Hendricks/dp/1546654518
Years ago I promised Nick (his mom is my art friend Maureen from Webster City days) that I would write it. Finally, this year I just sat down and did it with the help of my nephew Camden Hendricks.
When Nick was born with cerebral palsy his parents decided that he would be at the center of the family and that they had to make it all fun for everyone.
The book is small, soft covered, really geared for children and especially teachers. Inclusivity. I'll bring a copy.
Nick has a website, too, see nickseamonds.com

2012 Update:
Still a '67 graduate of BHS. Still have 2 adult children who are into the "Triathlon or Crossfit" life-style. Still have 2 granddaughters. Still living in a 28th floor condo in St Paul. Still doing art. Still liking all my classmates.

2007 Update:
By the Shores of Mississippi
By the Shining Big Sea Waters
Dwelt the condo of Jo Hendricks
Daughter of old Boone Jo Hendricks….

I escaped to the Twin Cities several years ago and live about as far up and away from a corn field as possible…the 28th floor in downtown St Paul. I love where I live and have my sister Toot close by and two nieces and families to keep me busy with children. I worked as director for a NE Mpls arts organization for a year but got a better paying gig and now I am in AP at 3M—stranger than fiction and about the most opposite side of the corporate world as possible. (Who is writing this life story anyway?) My home email is joann@joahendricks.com. I am doing art and maybe by the next reunion I’ll actually have images up on my website.

2002 Update:
Fort Dodge, Iowa 50501
Occupation: Director, Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Ft. Dodge, IA, 50501-4723
Children: Dana Jo Ann 27, Daniel Charles 26
Grandkid: Grace Isabel 2
Life History: Hey Toreadors from 1967 - We are the best! This is Jo Ann Hendricks. I am still as long, thin, and as transparently white as the tissue paper in the second floor girls restroom. I gave up the vices of smoking and swearing, but kept drinking and fast driving. I ran away from Iowa in 1998 to live happily in Columbus, Ohio; then Austin, Texas; only to find a great career job a year ago in Iowa's "City of Light"....Ft. Dodge. You will find me either at work at the Blanden Memorial Art Museum or visiting family and friends - namely granddaughter Grace Isabel and daughter Dana in North Carolina, or son Daniel in Austin. Since you will ask about my siblings, I will tell you: JR ('63) Judirae Obrecht is still a surgical nurse in Ames at McFarland; John ('64) is a surgeon and professor in Temple, Texas; Toot ('66) Marilou Cheple is a cold climate housing professor and home renovator in St. Paul, MN: and Jinx ('68) Julie Hill lives in Marshalltown but works as a nurse practitioner at the VA in Knoxville. None of them are available for dating and even if they were... would I want any of you as my in-laws???? My mom is alive and living in Dayton, Iowa, and Chuck died June 27, 2000. I have gobs of gorgeous and smart nieces and nephews and even some delightful grand n&n's.
