Update 2012:
Will probably not make reunion again this year. I am finally going to be retiring from State of Wyoming (31 years) the first of June and will be taking the month off. Who knows what July will bring, but I have already talked to a consulting firm, and will have to decide by mid-July if I am really going to retire or go back to work. Been working as Environmental Program Manager for Wyoming Military Department for last 3 1/2 years, which has been great, but time to let my hair grow out a little again. Hope everyone has a good time.

Update 2007:
I thought I would finally be able to make the reunion this year, but no such luck. Work keeps getting in the way. After 25 years as the state hazards geologist in Laramie, I took a position as the head of the Analysis Unit at the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security in Cheyenne. The US Office of Homeland Security wants a new version of our statewide evacuation and response plan by the end of September, so there goes my time off.
Sooner or later my wife and I need to get back to goofing off a little. Can retire in 2 months, but have a big old house we are restoring, 55 Buick needing paint, etc.
Give my best to all at the reunion. Sounds like fun.

Update 2002: My name is Jim Case, and I graduated with the Class of 67. I was one of the nondescript members of the class - got good grades, but laid low, so I doubt if anyone remembers me.

I have changed quite a bit, and don't spend much time laying low anymore. I am the Senior Hazards Geologist at the Wyoming Geological Survey as well as wearing a few other hats. I have lived in Laramie, Wyoming for 22 years, which means I have two homes - Iowa and Wyoming (I was born in Wyoming).

Prior to coming back to Wyoming, I worked out of Iowa City for 7 years - first on Cold Water Cave in northeast Iowa with the Iowa Geological Survey, and then doing environmental studies on the upper Mississippi River under contract with the Corps of Engineers. Prior to living in Iowa City, I was an exploration geologist with Texaco in New Orleans.

I collect 50's vintage Buicks, cartoon cels, art glass, and wine. I go to Napa as often as possible. I travel extensively in Mexico and Central America, and have a nice collection of pre-Columbian pottery.

I have been married almost 20 years, and my wife is an accountant with the University of Wyoming. She was born and raised in Colorado, and grew up on a large ranch.

Your web site is well done. It is one of the best I have seen.

Maybe I will make the next reunion. When reunions have been held in the past, I have been at the Western States Seismic Policy Council, which is held at locations around the western US, Guam, and Canada. I am past president of the group. I can't believe that I have had so many conflicts with the reunion. By the next one, I will have retired from my position, and will hopefully will have set up a consulting practice in Iowa or the midwest.
