SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS

(Open curtain.  Yellow curtain is closed.)

NARRATOR:  As graduation draws near, seniors sometimes feel as if it is all a fairy tale.  They just can’t seem to believe they’re finally graduating…  Some teachers find it a little hard to believe, too.  But, speaking of fairytales:  today our story is about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  The scene opens on the Dwarfs who are merrily singing on their way to work in the coal mine.

(In march the Dwarfs singing “Hi ho, hi ho…”  After they all pile into each other, the narrator speaks):

And here they are.  Doc is the leader of the pack and is very wise.  The other Dwarfs bring all their problems to him.  Happy is….well…what else?  HAPPY!  A delightful fellow to have around when the others are blue.  Sleepy is….Sleepy, wake up!..wake up!….  Sleep’s always the first in bed and the last to get up!   Bashful….turn around!  Bashful is SO shy.  He blushes if you even speak to him.  Sneezy has  (Sally sneezes)  Bless you!  Gesundheit!  Sneezy has always had a problem.  Nothing he’s tried can make him stop sneezing.  He even sneezes in his sleep.  Now we come to the old grouch – Grumpy.  Really, Grumpy, just ONE smile for the nice people?  Well, I guess not.  Please excuse him.  And finally there’s Dopey.  (Brian waves)  Poor little Dope… not a brain in his head.

(As the Dwarfs march off, the narrator continues):

We’ll see more of the Dwarfs later.  But, now, something’s going on in the palace of the Wicked Queen.

(Yellow curtain opens.  Jo speaks to the mirror.  The mirror answers.  Jo yells for Topper.  He comes in and is told to find Snow White and to cut out her heart.)

(Second grey cutain opens.  Terry is seen picking flowers.  Topper does not have the heart to kill her after sneaking in and seeing her.  He tells her to run and hide.  Terry runs off.  Topper also leaves the stage.)

(Grey curtain closes.  Jo comes walking in.  Enter Topper.  He gives Jo a fake heart.  Topper leaves.  Jo questions the mirror again.  The mirror answers that Snow White still lives.  Jo mixes up a magic brew and dunks an apple (big balloon)  in it.  She changes herself into a nice, old lady and goes out to find Snow White.)

(Grey curtain opens on forest scene.  Dwarfs are working and Terry is picking flowers.  Jo enters and offers Terry the apple.  Terry takes a couple of bites.  The “apple” breaks.  Terry falls in a swoon.  Jo leaves, laughing.)

(The Dwarfs drag Terry to a cot.  The narrator speaks):

As is customary in any death, a reading of the will is required.  At this time, the Dwarfs will read the personal will of each senior.

(Reading of the will)

The Dwarfs are in a semicircle around the cot, crying.   Enter Kelly.  He rides around the group about three times.  He stops and stoops to kiss Terry.  He doesn’t want to.  They start arguing.  In the frenzy, Brian runs around the front and kisses her.  Terry falls off behind the cot.  When she comes up, she has the head of a frog.  Brian sits down beside her.  The Dwarfs, holding hands, form a circle and dance.

Jo runs across the front of the stage with Topper chasing her.
