so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens.

The combination of the glazed red of the wheelbarrow and the white of the chickens suggests a pleasurable visual experience, and the fact that those kinds of experiences can be found in everyday objects (and not just in specialized and expensive art) is important.  In fact, the poem itself performs this argument, making a profound point with simple language.
