Draco the Dragon snakes across the sky between the two bears (Ursa Major and Ursa Minor). If you saw the movie Dragonheart, they made reference to this constellation. One of the stars here is Thuban. This star is important because a long time ago, it used to be the "North Star". That's right, Polaris wasn't always the North Star, at one time Thuban was. It just doesn't sound right, does it? Thuban. Nope, doesn't sound as good as Polaris. But that's the way it was.

Draco's stars aren't particularly bright, so it isn't the easiest constellation to see, even though it does cover a fairly large part of the sky. It is easiest to see from late spring to early winter.
