If there is a big dog, then there has to be a little dog as well. And it doesn't get much smaller than this. You might wonder, "why bother" since this constellation is really puny - the only thing it has going for it is the relatively bright star Procyon. Canis Minor is visible during the winter/spring months.

Now here's a neat thing to see during the winter months - you have a really nice triangle if you go from Betelgeuse (in Orion) to Sirius to Procyon. And oddly enough it is called the "Winter Triangle". Pretty much like the Summer Triangle, though of course made up of different stars.
