Using Kepler's Laws to Go to other Planets

A space craft launched from Earth can be put into orbit about the Sun and sent along an orbital path that will eventually cause it to arrive at another planet, so long as the velocity of the spacecraft is just right. It can't be too fast (in which case it would go into an orbit that is too large), or too slow (places it in an orbit that is too small).

Input velocity value at the Earth to determine if you will reach the orbit of another planet. You may have use fractional values, such as 5.4 - don't just use whole numbers.

Enter the Velocity here: km/s
