Go to Blogger and begin your own blog. (If you prefer another blog tool, please go ahead and use it!) Think carefully about what you want to call it (e.g. iowa stories), and what your sign-off name is (e.g., aligator; dfh, etc).

The purpose of your blog is to share the process of your journalism as you work on a major news story. This blog is actually part of a larger Interactive Multimedia Journalism Project--the final project for this class. Wearing the hat of a journalist, you will be documenting your story ideas and the process of gathering interviews in this blog. Note: this is a public diary, so please strongly consider the ethical implications of everything you post.

FIRST DUEDATE: SEPT. 10.
On your first blog post, consider 3-4 story ideas that would be suitable for your interactive multimedia journalism project, and, in your blog, set about some goals over the next week for pursuing them.

SECOND DUEDATE: SEPT. 22
For your second blog post, narrow down a story idea and start persuing leads. Who will you be talking to? What questions will you be asking? To what extent does your story call for visualization, interactivty, mapping?

THIRD DUEDATE: OCT. 13
Your third blog post should be deeper into your story. Who have you talked to? What are you finding out? How might you shape your story and your multimedia narrative?
