Re: MEDIA & SOCIETY CH. 15 and 16

1. Why do you read or watch stories? What kinds of stories do you like? Why?
2. Look at one or more of the following comedies: South Park, The Simpsons, American Beauty, or Legally Blonde. Consider what, if any, social ills they are dealing with, whether they are contributing to social change, and who or what is being laughed at.
3. Think of examples of film or television narratives that have had a major impact on you in some way. Why and how did they do this? Describe the different reactions they produced in you.
