Lightbulb 2.0

In the previous version of our photolysis set up (Let there be light entry) we were sticking the NMR tubes with our photoactive material in a fluorescent light bulb. The reaction took about 3-4 hours to go to completion. After rummaging around on the Amazon website, I found these LED flood lights which provide about four times the light as the fluorescent bulb. Some compressed air passed through some copper cooling coils helps keep the tubes at a manageable 30 deg C.

Now the reaction is over in about 30 mins, and the new setup can hold 12 NMR tubes which increases the amount of material we can photolyze.
