I visited my old PhD mentor’s lab about 10 years ago. In the lab, Bill had a converted mechanical pencil sharpener hooked up to an electric motor that slowly turned the pencil sharpener. But the apparatus was not used for sharpening pencils, but rather inverting NMR samples round and round. A few years ago, I decided a way to slowly turn NMR samples round and round, ather than constantly shaking the NMR tube. This sample has some HBArF in C6D6, so since the HBArF is not super soluble in C6D6, it needs to be “shaken”
