We have been getting back into the non-substituted Cp chemistry, which means time to fire back up the photolysis set up. We really want to keep the tubes cold since we only want compound 3 and not compound 1 which forms when the tubes get to 40 C or above.

We tried to cool the air with an ice-bucket but that did not work very well. Turns out liquid nitrogen and Al pellets work really well. And a humid day in Iowa lets you know that you are cooling the sample.
