Adapting

This is what happens when the yield is not very high in the various reactions. You have to go to microscale. I got frustrated by having to use a filter flask to filter things. I wished I could just filter into a vial, which I could then hook up to the glovebox rotovap with the nifty Chemglass rotovap adapter kit. Jim Hodgson, glassblower extraordinaire at KSU, was able to make these adapters (not the frits, that was my hack job) for me. I can now filter straight into a vial now. One less piece of glassware to clean.
