So many holes to drill. From the left, a small aluminum insert for the 1 inch tube when making KC8. I found out that the VWR heaters only go to 150 deg C. Need a little bit more heat to get the potassium fully melted. This should also allow me to stir while heating. The middle block is for the cold trap in the glovebox. Cool two vials. I drilled one more hole to accommodate a valved NMR tube. The last one is to try and heat NMR tubes without resorting to an oil bath. I might have to modify this method to fit the full seven inches of an NMR tube. Maybe long aluminum rod wrapped in heating tape as the next version. Just have to find a 7 inch drill bit.
