Not matter what, a new batch of crystals is always exciting. It never gets old. Most times, once you have a good crystal, the X-ray crystallography will tell you the structure. Here is an old school way of growing crystals, heat then allow to slowly cool. Hoping the crystallographer can work his magic on this batch. Our crystals usually look a lot better than this. But this is an organic compound. And why are NMR tubes so good at growing crystals?
